Windy October

It's even been too windy for the whitebait.
Well definitely too windy for the whitebaiter anyway.
Need to try again on this coast later when the weathers a bit more favourable!
Erm 'West Coast' might need three explanation marks there?
I don't suppose anybody knows of a whitebait stand that we can park the landy up next to?
This year or next?
North Island, South Island?
East or West Coast?
Anything goes.

Taupo

As majestic as ever.
Plus lots of places to stay.

Well done to the council, DOC and the NZMCA for making this a great place to stop.

If you haven't been to the NZMCA Park (sorry Members only) at the airport for a while, it's definitely worth another visit. It's come on such a long way, since it first opened.
You've now got full recycling facilities, free veggies and a book exchange.

Heading that way?
Be sure not to miss the 4:30 drinks on Fridays.

Tarawera

You've just got to love her!

Made even more special because you get to stop right on the edge of the lake at the outlet (another great DOC site).

Heading that way?
Don't forget to pick up your 5 dollar permit from the Kawerau isite that gives you access to the forestry road.

And while your there pick up the key for your free power for the night if you want to stay in Kawerau.
As if a free heated outdoor swimming pool and spa isn't enough to entice you to stay.
Kawerau has really gone out of it's way to make your stay a pleasant one.

Probably the reason that it is an official NZMCA Motorhome friendly town

Wet September

Thank goodness for sunny Whakatane, hot showers at  Matata (DOC), our No 1 ( First Love) Pop at Thorton and a few feeds of whitebait.

Everywhere and nowhere, baby

You're everywhere and nowhere baby,

that's where you're at

Going down a bumpy hillside, in your hippy hat

Flying across the country, and getting fat

Saying everything is groovy, when your tires are flat
And it's high ho silver lining, and away you go now baby
I see your sun is shining
But I won't make a fuss, though it's obvious

And don't forget to visit the Coromandel,
no matter what they say
There are plenty of places to stay, freedom camping spots, amazing DOCs and some lovely POPs

Lots of lovely people who've been missing you, while you've been fighting with the council and boycotting their stops

So it's high ho silver lining, and away you go
now baby
I see your sun is shining
But I won't make a fuss, though it's obvious

Yeah It's Official

Yes but there are still lots of other little jobs to do on the truck! Hey Mark!!!
Yes Dear
But they don't take as long to do and only cost half as much
That's because they are a 100 times smaller
I know but less is more
Less house more life
